Today we evidence the onrushing development of world and domestic medicine due to the advances in molecular biology, genetics, pharmacology, computer technologies. The breakthroughs are realized in crucially new diagnostic and treatment approaches requiring high qualified specialists in every field.

The purpose of our journal is to provide information communication between fundamental research in new medical technologies and practical medicine, publicity and spread of advanced domestic and foreign medical knowledge.

The journal publishes the findings of original biological and medical studies, fundamental researches aimed at the improvement of population health and patients’ life quality; analytical articles, lectures, reviews demonstrating the results of medicine cooperation with other branches: physics, chemistry, biology, the results of preclinical and clinical trials of new medical technologies in diagnosis and treatment; interesting rare cases from practice.

Quick growth of biomedical science observed all over the world occurs not least because of and due to the fact that the scientists of different countries join their forces under international projects and initiative programs.

The goal of the journal is to reflect modern trends for Russian medical science development, its achievements and competitive advantage, world community integration level.

Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy is expanding the scope of its researches cooperating with scientists from Russian universities and scientific research institutes, as well as the researchers from other countries: Germany, USA, Italy, France. All writings of scientists and specialists taking part in scientific co-projects with medical researchers of Nizhny Novgorod will be worthy represented in our title.

We invite to cooperation young scientists with modern views, new ideas, armed with knowledge, ready to break common stereotypes in science. The editorial staff will make every effort to improve the quality of the journal and reduce issue dates of articles.
