The actual questions of the ventral hernia surgical treatment are regarded. The existing classifications of hernias, advantages and disadvantages of different materials, used for the abdominoplasty are clarified; an effectiveness of the new material use (a polyvinylfluoride, a reperen) is demonstrated. The modern methods and methods of the implant fixation are analyzed. The thromboembolic complications, appearing after a hernia section and methods of their prophylaxis are of a great importance.
